2nd Chronicles 7:14, Acts 12:5-24, Psalms 40:5, Psalms 22:22-24
Today we are living in the most dangerous period in human history. All around the USA crime is on the rise, corruption goes unchecked, and hatred for God’s way of living swells. Entertainment grows more disturbing with sexual immorality on the rise. In many parts of the world believers, Christians are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ.
But Thanks be to God, who gives us the promises in the Bible in 2nd Chronicles 7:14 saying, “If my people who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal the land.” Prayer is one of the most important activities in our lives because we are actually talking to God All mighty who has the whole world in his hands. However, friends, the biggest hindrance to prayer is sin. Therefore, let us join together in prayer and seek the Lord’s help during this time of spiritual crisis in many parts of the world. It is only as we seek, submit to His will, and turn from our sins that our nation in the world will be healed.
A Prayer that moves God Is Peters’ miraculous escape from prison.
Many people wonder why their prayers are not answered, and some even give- up trying to pray because it has not worked. However, Acts 12: 5-24- Records an example of how the Lord answered the fervent prayers of His people and show how we too can pray effectively. King Herod imprisoned the Apostle Peter. In response to Peter’s imprisonment the Christians gather together in Mary’s house to pray. Acts 12:5, says “Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church”. And Angel, appeared in jail, awaken Peter and told him to quickly follow him, immediately his chains fell off, and he followed the angel out of the jail. Peter went to Mary’s house to meet the Christians who have been fervently praying for him. Prayer that moves God is made according to his will and in agreement with fellow believers.
