God Gives Hope to Our Troubled Hearts

“Let not your heart be troubled, you believed, you believe in God, believe also in Me” – John 14:1

Have you ever felt troubled and uncertain about your future, and question whether God realizes that your world has turned upside down?

Jesus disciples may have have been experiencing these feeling when He told them that He was going to leave them. He also told them

not to  be troubled(John 14:1-3) Jesus gave His disciples reasons why they should have peace in their heart. He assure them that He

will not leave them as Orphans but will send them another Comforter- The Holy Spirit(John14:16)>

The Scripture, in John 14:15-17 describe the different ways which the Holy Spirit, the Helper works in our lives. Prior to our conversion of

faith in Jesus Christ convicts us of our sins and reveals Jesus Christ as the answer according to John 16:8 and 9 The Holy Spirit also come

into our lives when we turn to Jesus Christ once we accept Jesu as our savior and invite Him into our lives. He the Holy Spirit move into our

lives and set up residence. Jesus said ” most assuredly, unless one is born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the Kingd0m of

God”(John 3:5)

The Holy Spirit come upon us to empower us as believers. This aspect of the Holy Spirit work is described in Luke 24:49 “And, behold

I send the Promise of My Father upon you but tarry ye in the City of Jerusalem until you be endued with power from  on high”

Friends: Even after the disciples believed that Jesus Christ  is resin from the dead, they did not become effective witnesses until the

coming of the of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts) The Christian mission depends on the ongoing Ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ further calm and gave hope to His disciples troubled hearts when He said in John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you,

(in Heaven) I will come again, and receive you unto Myself that where I am, there you may be also” -Friends, Heaven is not a court, but a

prepared place for a prepared people. If you are a Christian, you can rest assured that your reservation for Heaven was made the moment

you received Jesus Christ. You do not need to worry for accommodation because Jesus himself promised to prepare a place for you and me when He paid it all on the Cross.
